EyePrintPRO™ is an optically clear prosthetic scleral cover shell designed to match the exact contours of the individual eye providing the best vision and comfort possible.
The EyePrintPRO ™ is a prosthetic scleral cover shell which improves vision by creating a new, smooth, refractive surface for the eye. Unlike contact lenses, the EyePrintPRO™ is not constrained to typical fabrication and therefore can match the exact contour of any eye- even in the most difficult conditions where other options have failed.
The concept of the EyePrintPRO ™ was developed by Dr. Christine Sindt at the University of Iowa. Dr. Sindt partnered with Keith Parker at Advanced Vision Technologies in Denver, Colorado to develop a high oxygen permeable material with superior quality optics.
This exciting new technology is now available in Baltimore, Maryland exclusively at Global Complex Eye Care. EyePrintPRO ™ is a prosthetic scleral lens for patients with irregular corneas or corneal disease. With “general” scleral lenses doctors use a series of standard lenses and curvatures. PVR PROSE Treatment takes scleral lenses a step further with semi- customized curvatures and lenses. The EyePrintPRO ™ is generated from an impression of the ocular surface to match the exact contour and irregularities of the individual eye. Due to the precise nature of the back surface fit, high quality and individualized optics can be placed on the front surface of the device, creating exactly what each individual needs.
The EyePrint PRO™ is a great option for patients who are uncomfortable or have not been successful with other hybrid, scleral contact lenses, and PVR PROSE Treatment. The concept of getting an exact fit and achieving great comfort and vision is advantageous for patients who have spent months trying to find a device to improve their vision. Having improved comfort and vision will decrease patients’ frustration and their lost time from work, while increasing their quality of life.
The EyePrintPRO ™ is an excellent choice for:
